US #10.5 or #11, 29"
Circular Needles - to give correct gauge
*Circular needles are recommended because front and back are worked at the same time up to the armholes.

US size "H" crochet hook
4 buttons
*Gauge: 9 sts = 4"
(in pattern stitch)

Note: Use two strands of yarn throughout: 1 strand of Springy Capelli (carry throughout to add stretch and softness) and 1 strand of Tie Dyed Viscose or Novelty Yarn Alternate Tie Dyed Viscose and Novelty Yarns every 4 to 5 rows

Pattern Stitch: Ssk - a left -slanting decrease - Slip 2 sts separately to right needle as if to knit. Slip left needle into these 2 sts from left to right and knit them together. K2 tog - a right-slanting decrease - Insert right needle through two sts on left needle as if to knit and knit them together. S2KP2 - a centered double decrease - Slip 2 sts together to right needle as if to knit. Knit next st. Pass 2 slipped sts over knit st and off right needle. 3 sts become 1 with the center st on top.
Pattern: Multiple of 4 plus 9 Row 1: K1, yo, S2KP2, yo, *K1, yo, S2KP2, yo repeat until last 5 sts, K1, yo, S2KP2, yo, K1. Row 2 & 4: Purl Row 3: K2 tog, yo, K1, yo *S2KP2, yo, K1, yo repeat untol last 6 sts, S2KP2, yo, K1, yo, ssk.

Body: Using long-tailed cast on, CO 81 (85, 89) sts with "SC" & "L". Purl across (RS). Knit one row (WS). Repeat
Row 1. Change to "TV" & "SC". Purl one row (WS). Beginning with Row 1 of pattern repeat the 4 rows of pattern until piece measures 13 1/2"(14 1/2", 16") or desired length to armhole, ending with a RS row.
Begin armhole shaping: Next row (WS), p 20 (21, 22) sts (put these sts on a holder to be worked later), BO3 sts, p 38 (40, 42) sts. Put remaining 20 (21, 22) sts on holder. Turn, working across back only, BO 3 sts and keeping in pattern continue across the 35 (37, 39) sts of back. BO 2 sts beg of next 4 rows, and 1 st beg of next 2 rows (25, 27, 29 sts). Work even in pattern until armhole measures 7 1/2''(8", 8 1/2") ending with a RS row.
Next row: P across 7 (8, 9)sts, BO 11 (11, 13) sts, purl rem 7 (8, 9) sts. Place both shoulder sts on holders.

Front: Place 20 (21, 22) sts of left front on needles, RS facing, beginning at armhole edge, BO 3 sts at armhole edge work in pattern across row. Purl back. BO 2 sts every other row (EOR) twice, and 1 st once. Work even in pattern until armhole measures 5 1/2".
Begin neckline shaping: keeping first three sts in St st, decrease 1 st 4 stitches in from edge EOR 3 times, then every row twice 7 (8, 9) sts. Place these on holder. Put right front sts on needle and work right front to match left, reversing shaping. Join shoulders using three needle bind off.

Sleeves: (make two) Using "L" and long-tailed cast on, CO 25 sts. P 1 row (RS). K 1 row (WS). Change to "TV" and "SC" and starting with row two of pattern (WS) work 4 rows. Change to "R" and "SC" and K 1 row (WS). P 1 row (RS). Change back to "TV" and "SC" and work 4 rows in pattern beginning with row 2. Repeat Rev St st with "R" as before for 2 rows. Change to "TV" and "SC" and work 6 rows in pattern. Change back to "R" and work two more rows of Rev St st . With "BB" & "SC" work 8 rows in pattern. Change back to "R" and work another Rev St st band for two rows, followed by 8 rows in pattern with TV & S (If you want a longer sleeve continue to work in pattern with Rev St st bands until sleeve is desired length).
Begin armhole shaping: BO 2 sts at beginning of next 2 rows. Keeping in pattern, dec 1 st at each end of EOR 6 (5, 4) times 9 (11, 13) sts. Work 0 (2, 3) more rows, BO.

Finishing: Sew sleeve into armhole. Sew side and sleeve seams. Starting at lower right front, with "L", single crochet one row up right front, around neck and down left front.
