Back: Cast on 78 (86, 96, 104, 114) sts. K 4 rows. Work in St st until piece measures 13 1/4 (14 ¼, 15 ¼, 16 ¼, 16 ¼)” from beg, end with a WS row.
Shape armholes
Bind off 7 (7, 9, 9, 10) sts at beg of next 2 rows. Dec 1 st each side every RS row 3 (5, 5, 5, 7) times – 58 (62, 68, 76, 80) sts. Work even until armhole measures 7 (7, 8, 9, 10)”. Place sts on st holder.
Left Front: Cast on 40 (44, 50, 54, 58) sts. K 4 rows. Work in St st until piece measures same length as back to underarm, end with a WS row. Shape armhole at side edge only as for back – 30 (32, 36, 40, 41) sts. Work even until armhole measures 4 ½ (4 ½, 5 ½, 6 ½, 7 ½)”, end with RS row.
Shape neck
Next row (WS) Bind off 7 (8, 9, 10, 10) sts, p to end. Next row Knit. Next row Bind off 3 sts, p to end. Dec 1 st at end of every RS row 4 (4, 5, 5, 5) times – 16 (17, 19, 22, 23) sts. Work even until armhole measures 8 ½ (8 ½, 9 ½, 10 ½, 11 ½)”. Place sts on st holder.
Right Front: Work as for left front, reversing shaping. Shape armhole at beg of a WS row and end of RS rows. Shape neck at beg of RS rows.
Sleeves: Cast on 38 (42, 42, 46, 46) sts. K 4 rows. Work in St st, inc 1 st each side on 7th row, then every 0 (0, 6th, 6th, 6th) row 0 (0, 3, 3, 11) times, then every 10th (10th, 8th, 8th, 8th) row 9 (9, 9, 9, 3) times – 58 (62, 68, 72, 76) sts. Work even until piece measures 17” from beg, end with a WS row.
Shape cap
Bind off 7 (7, 9, 9, 10) sts at beg of next 2 rows. Dec 1 st each side every RS row 15 (16, 17, 18, 18) times. Work 1 row even. Bind off rem 14 (16, 16, 18, 20) sts.
Finishing: Block pieces. Fold front shoulder to back and join shoulders, using 3-needle bindoff, as foll: join 16 (17, 19, 22, 23) sts of first shoulder, bind off back neck sts until 16 (17, 19, 22, 23) sts rem, join 2nd shoulder.
Neck edging
With RS facing, beg at right front neck and pick up and k27 (28, 29, 30, 30) sts evenly to shoulder, 26 (28, 30, 32, 34) sts along back neck and 27 (28, 29, 30, 30) sts along left front neck – 80 (84, 88, 92, 94) sts. K 3 rows. Bind off.
Front edgings
With RS facing, pick up and k 72 (76, 84, 92, 96) sts evenly along each front edge. K 3 rows; bind off. Set in sleeves, centering sleeve cap 3/4" forward from shoulder seam. Sew side and sleeve seams.
