Foundation Row: Using one strand of recycled silk and one strand of Springy Capelli, Ch 32 sts loosely, sl st in beginning ch to form a loop. Ch 2 (counts as first st) sc in next ch and in each chain around, sl st in top of ch 2 (32 sts).
Note: Mark beginning or end of rounds if it is difficult to see the beginning ch 2. Start every round with a ch 2 and end every round by sl st into top of this ch 2.
Round 1: Ch 2, sc in next 14 sc, (sc, ch 2, sc) in next sc, sc in next 15 sc (sc, ch 2, sc) in last sc, sl st in top of ch 2.
**Change to another novelty yarn and alternate randomly every 3 or 4 rounds.
Round 2: Ch 2, sc in next 15 sc, (2 sc, ch 2, 2 sc) in ch 2 sp, sc in next 17 sc, (2 sc, ch 2, 2 sc) in ch 2 sp, sc in remaining sc, sl st in top of ch 2.
Round 3: Ch 2, sc in next 17 sc, (2 sc, ch2, 2 sc) in ch 2 sp, sc in next 21 sc, (2 sc, ch 2, 2 sc) in ch 2 sp, sc in remaining 3 sc, sl st in top of beginning ch 2.
Round 4: Ch 2, sc in next 19 sc, (sc, ch2, sc) in ch 2 sp, sc in next 25 sc, (sc, ch 2, sc) in ch 2 sp, sc in remaining 5 sc, sl st in top of beginning ch 2.
Round 5: Ch 2, *sc in each sc to ch 2 sp, (2sc, ch 2, 2 sc) in ch 2 sp, repeat from * once, sc in each remaining sc of round, sl st in top of beginning ch 2.
Round 6: Ch 2, *sc in each sc to ch 2 sp, (sc, ch 2, sc) in ch 2 sp, repeat from * once, sc in each remaining sc of round, sl st in top of beginning ch 2.
Repeat rounds 5 & 6 thirteen times (32 rounds total) or poncho is desired length.
Remember fringe adds length.
Fringe: Cut 15" strands of all four yarns. Using one strand of each yarn (4 strands total), fold in half, pull loop through every other st along bottom row and knot into fringe.
