Row 1 (RS): Inc 1 (2, 2) sts at each end of row. Purl back. Dec 1 st at each end alternating on every 4th & 3rd row 3 times Ð 34 (36, 38) sts.
Work even until 9 " from beginning. Inc 1 st at each end of next and every 5th (4th, 4th) row 3 (4, 4) more times 42 (46, 48) sts.
Armhole Shaping: BO 2 sts at beginning of next 2 rows. Dec 1 st at each end of next and every 3rd (other, other) row 2 (3, 4) times, then dec 0(1, 0) st at each end of 3rd row. Work even until piece measures 23" (23 5/8, 23 7/8) ending with RS row. Dec 1 (2, 2) sts at each end of next row 1 (1, 2) times. Work across binding off center 12 (12, 14) sts for center back neck, work to end. Working on one shoulder at a time, dec 3 (2, 2) sts at armhole edge once. BO remaining 6 (5, 4) sts. Attach yarn to other shoulder & finish reversing shaping.
Front: Work same as for back, beginning neck shaping when 18" (18.5, 19) from beginning, ending with a WS row 32(34, 34) sts. K 14 (15, 16) sts., place these sts on holder, BO 4 (2,2) center sts, knit across remaining 14 (15, 16) sts. Working on each side separately (and continuing to work armhole shaping as before), Dec 1 (1, 2) sts at neck edge every other row 4 (6, 1) time(s), then 0 (0, 1) st every other row 4 times.
Size Small only: Work 4 rows even, next row dec 1 st at neck edge, work 3 rows even, dec 1 st at armhole edge on next row.
Next row: BO 3 sts at armhole edge and dec 1 st at neck edge. BO rem 4 sts.
Size Med only: Work 2 rows even, next row dec 1 st at armhole edge. Dec 2 sts at armhole edge on each of next 2 rows. BO rem 4 sts.
Size Large only: Work 3 rows even. Dec 2 sts at armhole edge on next row. Dec 1 st at neck edge and 2 sts at armhole edge on next row. The next row dec 2 sts at armhole edge. BO rem 3 sts.
Pick up sts from holder and work other shoulder reversing shaping.
Sleeve (Make 2): CO 28 (30, 30) sts. Work even for 1". K2 (3, 3), [k2 tog, k1] 8 times, ending with k2 (k3, k3).
Work even for 3 rows Ð 20 (22, 22) sts. Inc 1 st at each end of every 8th (9th, 7th) row, 5 (4, 5) times Ð 30 (30, 32) sts. When sleeve measures 16" (17, 18) begin armhole shaping. BO 3 sts at beginning of next two rows. Dec 1 st at each end of every other row 8 (7, 8) times. When sleeve measures 21 _ (22 _, 22 _)Ó BO remaining 8 (10, 10) sts.
Finishing: Sew shoulder seams.
Sew sleeve into armhole, then sew sleeve and side seams.
