Beginning Knitters
750 yds (5 Skeins) Recycled Silk
750 yds of Springy Capelli (or Kid Mohair)
Optional Extras:
Bumble Bee 150 yds
Cotton Ribbon 150 yds
Lurex Ribbon 75 yds
Instructions are for One size
Finished measurements:
40" x 48" (without fringe)
US #15 or to give correct gauge
*Gauge: 9 sts =4"(10 cm)
It is important to knit to gauge or you will run out of yarn.
Garter Stitch
Note: Use two strands of yarn throughout, 1 strand of Springy Capelli and 1 strand of Recycled Silk or Novelty Yarn. If using optional yarns, alternate Recycled Silk and Novelty Yarn (Bumble Bee or Ribbons) every 4 to 5 rows.
Hint: Measure and cut fringe before you start knitting blanket.
You will know that you are done knitting when you are out of yarn.

Instructions: With one strand of Recycled Silk and one strand of Springy Capelli, CO 83 stitches. Work in stockinette stitch (K1 row, P 1 row),
BO when you still have enough yarn to finish the last row.
Fringe: Cut 23" strands. Using 2 strands of Springy Capelli and 3 strands of Recycled Silk, Slip Knot fringe in every other stitch on both the CO and BO edges. Uses approximately 252 strands of Recycled Silk and 168 strands of Springy Capelli.
